WebThe hot work authoring officer (HW authorising officer), in conjunction with the employee/contractor conducting the hot work activity (operator) and the fire-watch, must complete a risk assessment of the hot work prior to the activity, taking into account: • the type of hot work; • the environment where the hot work will be conducted.
